To our new and our returning patients and referrers, we value you and your health and wellness. During this unprecedented time we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure your safety as well as that of our employees. We are continuing to monitor the current situation and following the recommendation of the California Dental Association (CDA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to avoid the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
Per the recommendation of the CDA, we are voluntarily suspending any treatment that is non-essential until March 30th. We will contact you soon to assess your symptoms, and from there, either confirm your scheduled appointment or reschedule. Please be advised in the case of any emergency where you are experiencing pain, have an abscessed or fractured tooth, or facial swelling, you may call our offices to schedule. We are also implementing temporary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
Temporary measures to promote social distancing:
- We are asking patients to bring one person only (or when appropriate two parents) to consultation and surgical treatment appointments
- We encourage family (or friend providing a ride) to wait in their cars during treatment
- We urge patients to use our website to fill out the medical health questionnaires prior to your visit in an effort to limit waiting times
- We will be scheduling our patients that are over 60 years old accordingly to limit exposure to other patients
- We will also be limiting our follow-up visits to an as needed basis
For our referring offices, please know that all four of our offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. this week. Next week may change based on government direction and/or need. We will be seeing your patients on an emergent basis; please assess and confirm their emergent need for treatment prior to referral.
In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we will keep you updated regularly.
Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.
We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
